Fairmont Southampton Hotel, Southampton

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. While the beach was a delight and I enjoyed dining at the Waterlot restaurant, the overall experience fell short. I found the environment too family-oriented for a romantic getaway, and the thin walls made it difficult to relax. Service was inconsistent, and prices felt quite steep for what we received, making it hard to justify the cost.

Overall, our family vacation was enjoyable with some highlights including beautiful dining and friendly staff. However, the uncomfortable king-size bed and beach cleanliness issues were disappointing. The location was great, but noise from the entrance affected our stay.

The hotel offers a beautiful setting with stunning views and excellent attention to detail from the staff. The accommodations are spacious, though I wasn’t a fan of having the sinks in the room instead of a separate area. The service was commendable as the staff were eager to assist, especially at the restaurants. However, during my stay, the presence of corporate programs made some areas feel a bit congested. Overall, it’s a luxurious experience but might be overwhelming at times.

While the hotel has a beautiful location and the beach club is nice, the overall experience was disappointing due to outdated facilities and poor customer service. The rooms were spacious but poorly maintained, and the dining experience left much to be desired. The service had moments of kindness, but overall, it felt like the staff lacked urgency and attention. I enjoyed the beautiful views, but I don't think I would return to this hotel given the numerous issues we encountered.
